Occasionally, De-clutter Me! is hired by Home Sweet Home, a California company that does corporate relocations. This time, Lisa requested help for Wendy’s upcoming move to the South. We would work in her condo’s basement, separating items that she would bring to her new home and for local family members. She also had a number of items to donate. Where, though? She didn’t have a firm idea in mind. I mentioned the annual Tag Sale of the Bella Voce women’s chorus I’m in; would she perhaps consider it? She asked if I know a particular member. Of course! In fact, Deb planned and led our Scotland tour in June.  Wendy used to work with Deb, booking flights for Deb’s travel company. Small world!

We went through boxes and bins, again setting aside some items to stay in Vermont and others to go south. She graciously donated two big doll houses with all furniture, children’s and women’s clothes, holiday decorations. When the movers come to pack and move her south, they will have less to haul up from the basement.

We packed my car so tightly that I could use only half of the rearview and passenger side mirrors. I was relieved to get home safely! Now, my garage and some inside space in my own condo are holding her donations. Our Tag Sale in mid-September can’t come soon enough!
